WSPR results the last 24 hours.

 

The top image shows the 20 meter band where most DX is. In the middle the 10 meter band. Still somewhat disappointing. Some sporadic E layer reflection within Europe. The bottom image shows the 40 meter band. That is fairly steady. Evening and night the best results. All this with 200 mW into an end fed wire antenna.

WSPR the last 24 hours

 

I had disconnected the antenna because of the possibility of heavy thunderstorms. And I didn't want to risk my transmitter exploding. Yesterday I turned it back on for the 40 - 20 and 10 meter bands. Nice results with 200mW and an end fed antenna.

X14 solar flare

 

The Sun today at 12h UTC on July 26, 2024. The X14 emission happened on the other side of the Sun. If this active spot is facing Earth with the same strength then we should expect blackouts.

WSPR Transmitter by Zachtek

In addition to the WSPRLite, I now also use WSPR Transmitter by Zachtek. (Summer Sale!!! look on Zachtek web site) Now I can transmit from 80 meters to 10 meters at 200 mW without using a computer except to set the correct settings via the software. For the other modes I will mainly listen because I only have 1 antenna connection.

Monitoring 6 meter Es

I was monitoring 6 meter Es in the early morning. Heard: F4CNK 277KM; UT5UN 1794KM; DL5WP 239KM; PA3BLS 19KM; DG6JF/P 393KM; 2E0INH 337 KM.

Nice spots on 10 meter FT8

Nice stations were heard early this morning on 10 meters FT8. Opening to Australia VK5MRD and VK5DOC. Also a special call from Thailand HS72KING.
